On 28th November 2021 a celebration service was held at Keswick Methodist Church when Church leaders reaffirmed their commitment to an ecumenical county. The official news release for this event is shared below and afterwards our own Chair of District, Revd Dr James Tebbutt, commented as follows,
"This was a significant, reverential, and joyful moment on Advent Sunday to reaffirm the Cumbria Ecumenical County. Rooted in prayer and relationship, we continue with humility to recognise that collectively we are called to show and share God's love. Accordingly, we committed ourselves to a new phase in our Covenant Partnership and Companionship, undertaken in faith, repentance, and trust."
