The Well Good News of Christmas

This video has been created by the Bible Society to help bring the Christmas story alive. More resources are available from the Bible Society website.
Evangelism is all about a heart for God and a heart for people. As people whose lives have been changed by Jesus, we all have a story to share. But sometimes we can struggle to find the words to talk about what Jesus has done. And while across the UK many churches have become known and praised for their amazing social engagement (as seen in last winter’s floods in Cumbria) many people say that they can find it hard to take the next step and share their faith with those they've got to know in their communities.

To help equip us to communicate the gospel clearly, with the confidence that it can change lives, a new website hub – The Great Commission (
www.greatcommission.co.uk) has been created to offer resources that will help us (as individuals and as churches) to help others discover more of God and his purpose in their lives and become followers of Jesus.

The Great Commission website, launched on 26 October, aims to equip the UK Church through:
•    Sharing stories of lives transformed by Jesus throughout the UK
•    Signposting to a wide range of evangelistic initiatives, tools, resources and stories
•    Telling stories of how individuals and church communities in the UK are talking about Jesus, and what they've learnt along the way
•    Encouraging us all to be praying more for those who don't yet know Jesus
.
The Great Commission website is all about inspiring a passion for evangelism in our communities – enabling each one of us, and our churches, to be talking about Jesus and praying for those who don't know him yet.

Its aim is to help restore confidence that the gospel still works in the UK today, arising from a desire to see people across the UK find meaning, peace and purpose – in this life and the next – through becoming disciples of Jesus.

Youth Church and Teen Church Magazine

Are you looking for a good free resource to use with your children and young people?

Young Church Mag (7-10 years) and Teen Church Mag (11+ years) are weekly resources to use in Church. Each resource is double sided A4 sheet of puzzles and games, relating to the Sunday lectionary theme, based on the Gospel reading from the New Common Lectionary. They can be used as an activity within the service, as part of the children’s groups or as an insert in the church magazine.

Produced by the diocese of Bath & Wells, the REACH team have purchased the resource and are offering it freely to churches in Cumbria to trial.
