MWiB Residential 2023

"Together at Thornleigh" with Kathleen Pearson – To Serve the Present Age.

November 6-8th 2023 marked the 10th Anniversary of the Cumbria MWiB Residential at Thornleigh, Grange-over-Sands.

The 37 ladies present, some coming from Darlington, Newcastle and Lancashire Districts, shared together in many different ways, being fed spiritually in the Lord, through Kathleen's ministry to us, for which we are eternally grateful.

We also enjoyed an 'Evening with Pam Rhodes; speaking on "Hymns & Hers"!! This was in fact a video recording of her from Swanwick earlier this year, where MWiB held their annual Connexional Conference.

The pictures are a lovely reminder of our joyous time together. The Minister is Revd Jo Rand who took our final service and Communion; the rainbow shows we had some sun!

Next year we are to have Deacon Karen McBride, Warden of the Diaconal Order of the Methodist Church with us, from November 11-13th 2024. The Cumbria Team will also be organising District events in 2024, details of which will be circulated early next year.
